My Tumblarity is 0 :] Hehe. I guess that’s what a week or two does to it. But oh well.
Returned just to chime in a little on what’s going on!

I have an Ochem Midterm on Monday, successfully screwing myself from having any fun this weekend. So now, while I should be studying, I find myself on Tumblr. Awesome.

Pacquiao won! I loved Loris’s post about his win. And Filipinos are moving up! Good stuff to hear. Pacquiao vs Mayweather is going to be ridiculous.

Now some basketball related stuff.
It’s time to build around Jennings.
Milwaukee got a HUGE steal at #10.
Imagine if the Knicks had picked Jennings.
Point guard problems solved. Immediately. No more Krpyto Nate, no more Disappearing Duhon. No more Toney freaking Douglas?
Bring back a major market to NY.
But too bad.
He’s Milwaukee’s product now. And they’re going on the map. I would not be surprised if Milwaukee could sneak into the 7th or 8th seed this year. They’ll lose to a strong playoff team but it will be a GREAT experience for Jennings as well as the rest of the team.
Brandon Jennings is like an Allen Iverson who gets it.
And at this moment, since The Answer ain’t even in the league, no doubt the answer is that Jennings has a better team than Iverson. He has got a big man in Bogut who is finally living up at least a little to his #1 draft pick title. And it’s not a fluke either, Bogut was hot last season as well before his injury it. But he seems to be fully recovered.
Another guy who will help tremendously once he’s back from his freak injury is Michael Redd. He’s old and he knows it and he will have no problem handing the reigns to a budding Jennings. A lot different from say a Kobe or Lebron. But it’s not like Redd is a shell of his former self or anything. He’s still a potent scorer with ridiculous 3 point range so Milwaukee has definitely gotten some strength at the 2.
Add in Luke Ridnour and Charlie Bell they’ve got decent enough backups in the guard position.
The rest of the Bucks team consists of Kurt Thomas, Hakim Warrick, Dan Gadzuric, Carlos Delfino, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, Joe Alexander and Roko Ukic.
Kurt Thomas just came off a veteran team with the Spurs so it’s great to have a veteran presence like him in the locker room, even if he’s not much of a player anymore.
Two guys that Scott Skiles (who I haven’t gotten to yet) will help tremendously are Warrick and Mbah a Moute. Warrick has been bounced from Memphis but a guy like Skiles who is no-nonsense and defense oriented could shape Warrick into a nice role player after years of mediocrity at Memphis. Mbah a Moute although not much of an offensive talent, provides energy and hustle, and with development could be a good kid off the bench.
Gadzuric is an average backup C in the NBA. Delfino an average SF. Roko Ukic is a 15th man and Joe Alexander, last year’s draft pick aside from his hops, needs a lot of improvement in a lot of areas in his game.
So the Bucks have an alright group of players around Jennings. I think what could really put them over the top is 1) a more talented small forward, even if its not a big name and 2) an athletic big man, not a center, because they have Bogut, but maybe a real good power forward with athleticism. Someone like a Boozer. By this I mean a guy who can stroke it from midrange to help spread the floor with Bogut, but who can also bang and bruise and take it down low when needed.
Jennings is smart. His year in Europe has seemed to help TREMENDOUSLY. He’s still a goof though, but he’s smoothed out a lot easier than most others could have. And he’s definitely matured with less of the spotlight upon him and not having as much expectations. So going to Europe really depends on the player. and in this case, it was a perfect match. It’s really a viable option now, so some should take a real deep look at europe instead of college.
And lastly, has Scott Skiles ever had a star like this on any of his rosters? Even he seemed content and a little quizzical because never has he had a player in his hands who can completely change the dynamics of his coaching scheme and really provides him with another huge option. Not only that he’s a willing listener to that “defensive mentality” that Skiles preaches. Many youngsters have butted heads with Skiles in the past but this seems very different.
Build around Jennings. Future superstar in the league right here.

Wow that post was pretty much all basketball. Must have bored some of you. Now I have to go back to Ochem, as well as my break from Tumblr! I’ll read your Tumblr posts again sometime!
Dammit I tried.
I freaking tried!
I tried to finally stick consistently with a blog / blogging.
But Tumblr is SOOO time consuming!!….
I guess that goes for any blog.
But my mind was on this way more often than necessary
Sooooooooo….
my posts will be more sparing from now on.
I’ve subscribed to a lot of interesting people who post really interesting things.
So Tumblr will be my once-in-a-while guilty pleasure where I can overload myself with all these juicy and well thought out posts about what people have to say…whatever they’re talking/posting about.
That is all. :D
Edit: I felt like I needed to add a really cool picture..so…here’s a really cool picture.

Good day!

Staples Center.
I complain about Staples a lot. The crowd moreso than the building. Because I like the buildling. Look at the picture. It looks so cool.
We have arguably the best team in the league, one competing for all-time great status, and yet housed in elegant Staples Center are the richest of celebrities and entertainers, shallow people who come, often not even as fans, but just to show up.
It gives a lax feel to the crowd. The courtside seats taken by millionaires who mostly sit down, never cheering or egging on the team.
It’s just so frustrating! And the fact that the Staples Center crowd is just so quiet KILLS me! It’s OUR Lakers! Come on now
But even so, Staples Center I have to admit, does have its advantages on the opposing team as well. You’re in LA, you’re playing in Staples, against the Lakers. It just means something. It’s a big deal. Look over on your right, and you’ll see Denzel, oh well howdy there Leonardo DiCaprio, oh of course great to see you as always Mr. Jack Nicholson.
So it has its effect, but I really hope Staples can get back to the level of energy it had in these days.

And more recently

Maybe the Laker faithful simply are not easily impressed? Just showing the high standard that the Lakers are held at? Even so…it’d be nice to have the Staples Center crowd rocking like it is at places like the Q or Arco Arena of old.
Filthy.

This guy.
Quite a specimen.
Creator of one of the worst commercials that mankind has ever seen.

And winner of the shortest interview ever award.

Cant. Wait.
For some really odd reason…after watching this video, I find detonations very soothing.
